On the hunt for the holy grail! A review, of sorts.

No, this has nothing to do with Monty Python. I am on the hunt for my holy grail makeup products.
The elusive HG is a product that you reach for nearly every single day. It is perfect for your specific needs and you will use it without fail to the point that you don't even want to try out anything new. For me, it has to be something that doesn't need to be fussed with too much to get the desired look.
Personally, I have not found anything that I have become really this obsessed with. I have found things that I really like and maybe even love but I haven't come across any products that make me want to give up the search.
Sarah's list of HG's to acquire:
Primer
Concealer
Foundation
Powder
Mascara
Eyeliner
...and possibly highlighter

I may or may not have found the eyeliner. I am in love with my blacktrack fluidline gel liner by MAC but I really want to try a pen liquid liner to compare.
Now, I'll share with you the products I'm currently using.
For primer I have Benefits the porefessional. I do like it but I'm on the fence. I don't notice anything crazy good about it.
I have a mixed bag if concealers. Laura Mercier secret camo concealer duo in SC-2 was my go-to in the summer. Now that my skin is a bit drier I'm not loving it as much. I have Smashbox's hd concealer and I reaaaalllyyy do not like it. It smears and it's hard to blend. I've just recently purchased Benefits lemon aid. It's supposed to be a brightener but I put it in this category anyway. I haven't tried it enough to give a good review, though.
Okay, foundation. I'm 99% positive I may have found this. I picked up a few samples of different high-end foundations. Laura Mercier silk creme foundation, Make Up Forever HD foundation and Estée Lauder double wear. HATE the MUFE HD. It just didn't work for me. It looked patchy after a few hours and felt drying. I liked the Estée Lauder one but it dried so fast and I don't like the extra fussing. I loved the Laura mercier silk creme. It feels, well, silky on my skin. It lasts all day and covers really well while still feeling light on my skin. My only issue was that the colour they gave me was slightly too dark. Ill have to see if a lighter one will match. The shade selection is quite limited.
Now powder. I had select sheer powder by MAC and I freakin loved it. For about a week. I bought it at my darkest point of tan this summer and it only matched for a very short period. I decided to buy a mineralized skin finish natural after reading the insane amount of hype online but found myself really disappointed. I can't even put my finger on the reason why but there's something that isn't doin it for me. I have been using Rimmels stay matte powder and I think it's so-so.
I use a combination of Benefits Bad Gal Lash mascara and Lancôme doll lashes for my mascara at the moment. Benefit first for volume and Lancôme second for definition. I like the outcome but I'd rather have one do-it-all mascara. Less fuss.
I don't have a highlighter at all as of now but I have really been eyeing up NARS albatross. It looks super pretty.
So, sigh, the search continues. I just really want a collection of products that work for me without a lot of work, ya feel me? Or is it possible that I'm being too picky?
What is your top, most used holiest of holy grail product?
:)
